GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Business Systems Analyst provides business analysis services and assists users with Dole Fresh Fruit's Logistics and Sales Operations business applications. The focus of this position is to support day to daybreak-fix operations, analyze incident trends and recommend solutions to reduce them. In addition, he/she will lead requirements development by reviewing business processes and systems to identify and address operational efficiencies and improvements.

They will work closely with the business to gain in-depth understanding of customer's business needs and recommend solutions, and he/she will act as the liaison among internal business and technical stakeholders to analyze, document, communicate and validate business and system requirements.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

* Provide support to logistics and sales operations teams with the Dole Fresh Fruit's business critical applications and interfaces.

* Organize and prioritize service tickets to successfully support end users with systems issues and enhancements.

* Elicit requirements utilizing interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis.

* Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed systems' solutions.

* Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to identify technical and functional requirements while delivering the desired artifacts (i.e., functional requirements, business requirements document, use cases, GUI and screen and interface designs).

* Conduct testing and debugging of new software and/or enhancements to existing software.

* Create training materials and documentation for users and train new end users on DFF's business applications.

* Provide 24/7 IT support for line of business applications when required.

* Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.

INTERNAL RELATIONS

WITH WHOM: Divisions, departments, and other corporate employees. DFFNA Ports and Sales Operations, DTP Logistics, DBS-IT, DTP Accounting.

EXTERNAL RELATIONS

WITH WHOM: Suppliers, Software vendor's support team ex. Baufest USA, Tideworks.

SALARY: $80-85k


Required Skills

CORE COMPETENCIES:

* Understanding of application programming, databases, and system design.

* Exposure to business applications for logistics, warehouse management, and sales operations.

* Proficient analyzing and dissecting information using Excel and SQL queries.

* Proficient working knowledge of any major Structured Query Language such as Oracle Data base, Transact-SQL, etc.

* Work independently with users to define concepts and map processes.

* Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Required Experience

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION:

  • BS/BA Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related fields.
  • 2-5 years of experience.
