Job Duties:

Bucknell University seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music for 2024-2025, beginning August 2024, with the possibility of continuation for a second year. By the start date of the position, candidates are expected to have an earned doctorate in conducting or another related field. Candidates who have earned an Artist Diploma or another professional certificate beyond the Master's degree, and who have strong records of teaching experience may also be considered. Teaching responsibilities include six courses per year (three classes per semester) including the Bucknell University Orchestra (two courses), violin and viola studio instruction (anticipate approximately two courses), and two additional courses based on departmental needs and the candidate's area of expertise.
