Molex, located in St. Petersburg, Florida, is currently seeking a Finishing Operator to join our team operating the Tumbling and Annealing Machines in the Finishing Department. As a Finishing Operator, your primary responsibilities will include the secure setup and operation of equipment, ensuring adherence to Molex's quality and performance standards. Additionally, maintaining a well-organized work environment specific to this role is essential. The Tumbling and Annealing machines intertwine with one another because of the availability between the temperature times, drying time and washing time of the parts. The ideal candidate would be able to manage their time multitasking between areas.

Starting Pay: $18/hour and up based on experience

Available Shifts:

1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00AM to 4:30PM.

What You Will Do

  • Monitors quality of parts produced by performing visual inspections to identify visual defects in finished goods
  • Assist in daily and monthly preventative maintenance activities
  • Wash and dry parts according to production schedule and work instructions using vibratory finishing machines
  • Anneal parts at the correct oven temperature according to production schedule and work instructions.
  • Transport materials to and from required areas.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Train and be able to rotate in both areas of the finishing department as needed and cross train as a Barrel Plating Operator
  • Actively support and/or participate in 5S, EHS, Quality, and GLSS programs by following all approved practices and procedures, performing clean-up activities, and identify and recommend improvements to Management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
  • One (1) year or more experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, industrial, military, or agriculture environment

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Forklift license
