Description

EQUIPPS is looking for an operations Manager to grow with the organization as it becomes the primary rental equipment manager and logistic support provider for Hourigan Construction. This role will be responsible for negotiations with HCC on equipment rentals, company training, and business development with 3rd party vendors. Equipps is part of Hourigan Group, a family of companies.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The primary role is to intake all rental and consumable orders from HCC and become the "Easy button" for construction operations.
  • Maintain site and ops visits to maintain presence and ensure support. The goal is to hit every site once a quarter.
  • Established and maintain contracts with third party agencies:
  • Preferential Rates
  • Tiered rebate programs
  • Vendor Managed Inventories
  • Communicate with Safety to ensure EQUIPPS is providing proper signage and equipment to align with HCC safety standards.
  • Establish rates for new assets. Communicate with projects to negotiate rates for project specific needs.
  • EQUIPPS Financials
  • Monthly Reviews
  • Create quarterly projections
  • Develop Yearly budget
  • Review/Approve all EQUIPPS invoices within CMiC workflow, ensuring proper cost allocation.
  • Work with PCS and Project teams for rental negotiations with 3rd party vendors; site temp power & cooling packages, trailers, etc.
  • Maintain GC rate spreadsheet, updated every six-months
  • Develop and Maintain systems "wishlist" (Doka-Smart edge, Tuff-built ladder) for get into projects
  • Manage "what's going on" training slides, and present on behalf of EQUIPPS during various company meetings:
  • Quarterly BU Meetings
  • Quarterly Superintendents Meeting
  • Hourigan Happenings
  • Pursue new EQ opportunities, which align with growth goals.
  • Establish new and maintain existing 3rd Party Vendors contracts and negotiated rates.
  • Consumable Vendors
  • New Services (rental and consumable)
  • Manage all contracts, SOPs, and training documents within SharePoint.
  • Create new user accounts in the asset tracking software (EZ-Rentout/ToolWatch) for all new operations hired during onboarding meetings.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a client-facing role within the heavy equipment, equipment rental, and/or construction industry.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and maintain an elevated level of physicality for prolonged periods of time.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining relationships internally and externally.
  • Experience using a forklift and professional forklift certification is strongly preferred.
  • CDL qualified, preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and willingness to learn new applications as it pertains to the position.
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance.
  • Possess strong verbal communication skills.
  • High organized, excellent time management, and a self-starter.
