Job Description

About the Role: We are seeking a Product Data Management associate to join our team, supporting data responsibilities for the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning system). This role will also support digital transformation efforts as a key member of the plant Enablement team, responsible for the implementation of SAP and future digital roadmap applications. The candidate will perform the PDM role using our existing ERP system (E1/JD Edwards) before eventually migrating to using SAP and other digital roadmap applications to perform the role.

This position will be located at ourfacility in Newark, Delaware, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Configuration of new item records within the current ERP system (E1): bill of material, routing, item cross references, branch plant relationships, sales coding, planning settings, inventory values, etc
  • Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders such as Product Specialist, Engineering, Manufacturing Leaders, Procurement, Quality, on new item definition
  • Manage and perform item configuration changes within the ERP system including the obsolescence process, act as the point person for activities related to the implementation of the changes
  • Ensure data integrity remains high, conduct data integrity tests, perform data corrections as needed; along with ERP plant leadership, accountable for effective management of the PDM function and data integrity
  • Assume the role of Data Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Material and Master Data as a member of the plant Enablement team, support all phases of the Enablement project, from readiness initiatives through sustainment
  • Implement process improvement projects related to PDM
  • Leadership for this role may evolve over time as the Gore digital transformation is realized
  • Adapt from a plant-based leadership model to a centralized data team leadership model, should that be required in the future

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in an operations environment
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing ERP software or managing data with exposure to PDM related topics such as item master data configuration, bill of material and bill of routing
  • Proven experienced with detailed work and data accuracy with a background in a commitment requiring those skills
  • Experienced working both independently and collaborating closely with various functional teams such as Product Specialist, Engineering, Manufacturing Leaders, Procurement, Quality etc. with a track history of developing followership
  • Prior experience as a key member of project teams with a history of driving continuous process improvements
  • Computer skills: including multiple software's such as Excel, Word, and quality management software such as QSI is required
  • Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities while maintaining a high service level is essential
  • Ability to travel 5%
