All about the role:

As part of the central team and in the job of Field Quality Engineer you will be the connection between Quality organization, Product Sourcing and Market via After Sales. As the expert of our products down to component level you will be responsible for constant improvements of quality performances of the products (OEM & Internal) thus aiming the positive opinion of our customers. You will be strongly involved in supporting the development of new products as well.

What you'll do:

  • Collect and analyze consumers feedback based on the data from Quality databases.

  • Cooperation with the Sales and Peace of Mind organizations to collect and analyze market specific problems and initiate appropriate improvement activities.

  • Enable the start of data-driven root cause analysis, then follow the closure of the actions defined to solve the quality issues.

  • Collect and report promptly early quality and safety warnings or potential quality disruption events.

  • Standardize Quality Taste report to drive prioritization discussion with all relevant peers and stakeholders.

  • Lead the return of defective components and appliances from relevant markets, organize the returns analysis with the appropriate technical functions and initiate the improvement activities accordingly.

  • Deploy quality improvement tools in the improvement actions with the market Peace of Mind organization (Service Bulletins etc.)

  • Support the Peace of Mind organization in training and troubleshooting for Service technicians.

  • Work with other departments to identify and deploy best practice solutions to be embedded in the PL Quality plan

  • Focus on warranty cost reduction.

Qualifications required:

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Economics, Manufacturing and/or Business.

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing quality.

  • Knowledgeable of quality improvement tools and methods (8D/DMAIC/PDCA)

  • It is a plus the knowledge of components and product functionality (knowledge of possible defects of the products).

  • Experience in partnering with and influencing global cross-functional teams.

Where you'll be:

This position will be based at our new Refrigerators manufacturing Plant in Anderson, SC.

Ability and willingness to travel as necessary (up to 15% of the time).
