Job Description

This facility manufactures cryogenic equipment to support the company's industrial gas and LNG business. As well as pressure vessels, distillation columns, piping skids and cold boxes it is also the world's leading manufacturer of liquefied natural gas (LNG) heat exchangers. Each heat exchanger consists of coil wound tube bundles housed within an aluminum or stainless-steel pressure shell, all of which are assembled and welded by skilled employees at the plant.

During your first several weeks on the job, we will provide you with the training to interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and the basic math required for building heat exchangers. In this role, you will learn to safely and properly use a variety of hand tools, including operation of electrical and pneumatic power tools.

Skilled position requirements:

-Good dexterity and the ability to work with your hands to fabricate heat exchanger bundles.

-Expected to always work safely and adhere to our Safety policies and Quality standards.

-Work with a team of experienced Technicians daily to install tubing onto a heat exchanger bundle.

-Requires the candidate to be able to stand, climb stairs and ladders, and use their hands for most of their 8-hour shift.

You will also be exposed to multiple craft skills including, but not limited to

  • Machining, Plasma Cutter, Press Break, Lathe, Saw, Milling
  • Shop mathematics and blueprints
  • Welding, fitting, and cutting skills.
  • Dye penetrant testing
  • LNG tube winding operations


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred
  • Prior fabrication craft skills or manufacturing experience required.
  • You must be able to work any shift.
  • Some travel opportunities may be available (domestic and international)
