Summary:

We are looking for a Graphic Designer to support the Master Resilience Training Program and additional support to the Directorate of Prevention, Resilience, and Readiness (DPRR) programs.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Shall analyze, design, develop, and produce visual and multimedia products used across training and education programs.
  • Shall determine the size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy and select style and size of type.
  • Shall confer with the Government to determine layout design. The Graphic Designer shall create designs, concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
  • Develop graphics and layouts for products, illustrations, logos, and for prints and web media.
  • Shall be capable of developing high quality graphic products that support the learning and organization objectives. The Graphic Designer shall support the production of briefs, articles, information products, and material communicated to Army and external stakeholders.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and experience with multi-media animation, motion graphics and be proficient in using the Adobe Creative Suite of applications.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the Army organizational structure, mission objectives, function, procedures, regulations, and policy pertaining to the Department of the Army.
  • Shall speak, read, and comprehend English to the extent that they can read and understand printed regulations, written orders, operating procedures, training instructions and materials, and perform the duties assigned.
  • Must have a professional appearance that is appropriate for their position and adhere to facility dress codes. Contractor employees shall conduct themselves in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with database management software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field and at least five years' experience in commercial product design.
  • At least 5 years of experience editing learning material and 5 years' experience working with the military as a military member, civilian, or contractor.
  • Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) (Tier 1) background investigation.
  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical or related certifications

The pay range for this position is $72,401 - $89,401 annually.
