Summary
The Credit Portfolio Analyst will assist in managing single and multi-sector investment portfolios. This role will also build and maintain Stifel Capital Management's (SCM) credit analysis documentation on existing holdings and potential buy candidates. The analyst will work with trading desks, executing portfolio strategies with the guidance of the CIO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Establish a process/system to document published Research from Moody's, S&P, Fitch, Credit Insights, Sell-side, etc., of the issuers we own or are considering owning both debt and equity.
* Summarize the research on individual credits, sectors, or macro trends relevant to SCM's strategies.
* Assist in managing single and multi-sector investment portfolios for high net-worth individuals and their entities, institutions, endowments, municipalities, and not-for-profit organizations using appropriate securities and vehicles per each client's investment policy and preferences.
* Work closely with other professionals throughout the Firm who bring specific and relevant expertise to bear on client matters.
* Manage each client's relationship to build rapport, satisfy the client's needs, and work closely with their advisors.
* Respond to requests for data, information, and calls from internal and external clients; some client and internal presentations are expected.

Qualifications
* Display a solid understanding of all capital markets, the economy, investment products, and their interrelationship with one another.
* Specific experience in the fixed-income markets and knowledge of various fixed-income investment vehicles, including Corporates, Municipals, Mortgage & Asset Backed Securities, US Treasuries, and US Agencies.
* Strong analytical skills, service-oriented, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organization skills and attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to multi-task independently and on time.
* Strong intellectual curiosity and a desire for personal growth.
* The ability to communicate information and ideas in spoken or written form so that others will understand.
* Strong understanding of complicated trading and order management tools.

Education and Experience
* Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
* Minimum Required: 3+ years of experience in the financial industry, fixed income, asset management, or related field.

Systems and Technology
* Proficient with Microsoft Office.
* Previous experience with Bloomberg, BondWorks, TradeWeb, Market Axes, Vestmark, Perform PFCII, and APL.

Salary: $84,000 - $126,000 per year

Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate's qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel's overall compensation package for each individual employee.
