The Opportunity:
Picarro is seeking a Chemistry Intern to support analytics and data science initiatives around Picarro's Gas autosampler platform. This individual will need to have a strong hands-on approach, technical acuity, and initiative as they work on pressing tasks for the application scientists and business groups. This position will be on-site at our Santa Clara Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run experiments in the lab using laser-based gas analyzer instruments.
- Analyze measurement data.
- Assist with new product development, including method development and marketing materials.
- Maintain a well-documented repository of all work performed.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Statistical knowledge.
- Strong organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Self-starter who can work independently, make necessary decisions, and follow through with action plans.
Qualifications:
- 2nd or 3rd year in a bachelor's degree in a Science or Chemistry field.
- Recent graduates with no prior full-time industry experience are acceptable.
- Internship and/or undergraduate research experience is ideal
Salary:
The base hourly range for this part-time position is $18 - $20 per hour. Your base salary and title will be determined based on the location, experience, qualification, skills, knowledge, level, and pay of employees in similar positions.
