OPPORTUNITY: LEARNING SPECIALIST (SALES AND SERVICE) SAN MATEO, CA

Come join our dynamic team! We are seeking an experienced Learning Specialist to help enhance the competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting Learning programs that will boost employee's workplace performance in alliance with company's core values.

Job Summary:
The Learning Specialist delivers instructor-led, classroom, webinar, one-on-one and web-based training to both new and existing SRG employees, with an emphasis on SRG sales, customer service, and leadership development. Training will include, but is not limited to, integrated software systems and sales and customer service procedures. They will be responsible for performing Learning needs assessments, designing, and delivering curriculum and learning materials and for managing all phases of Learning interventions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Facilitates instructor led classes via webinar, one on one training, and in person classroom training for new and existing employees.
* Delivers training programs to address the expanded skill set needed to support employees and operational learning needs and goals.
* Collaborates on design, implementation, and delivery of webinar and a blended learning environment.
* Develops and/or oversees the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, job aids and manuals.
* Periodically evaluates ongoing programs to ensure they reflect any changes to operational processes and procedures.
* Develops learning opportunities that will groom employees for the next step of their career path.
* Partners with the Director of Learning to build annual learning strategies and makes program recommendations.
* Ensures training database is up to date, that attendance in all training is properly recorded and mandatory training is attended.
* Monitors and manages the SRG Coach and Mentor Programs, which includes scheduling, tracking of completed meetings, and evaluating satisfaction surveys.
* Monitors and manages Mystery Shop program, which includes ordering, reviewing, assigning training, bonus processing, evaluating results.
* Oversees document management for Learning and Development Department.
* Identify learning needs of employees by evaluating their strengths and weaknesses, reviewing performance reporting, evaluation scores, and manager feedback.
* Assesses learning effectiveness by creating and evaluating learning surveys to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior.
* Prepares statistical reports to evaluate performance of instructors and monitor progress of trainees and training sessions. Uses this information to improve the quality of the training based on responses.
* Stays abreast of the new trends and tools in employee development, for example, by becoming a member of ATD and/or attending certification training.
* Networks with industry and training professionals by attending trade shows and conferences to research and implement new training methodologies.
* Maintains timely and accurate payroll timekeeping.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Competencies and Skills:
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, and Windows Operating Systems (Windows XP, Windows 7, etc.)
* Experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, GoTo Meeting.
* Proficient in Yardi Voyager and CRM Flex.

Preferred Competencies and Skills:
* Experience with learning management and eLearning course authoring software such as Articulate 360, Articulate Storyline, or Adobe Captivate.
* Ability to adapt to various learning and teaching styles that match audience skill level.
* Exposure and basic knowledge of blended learning technology.


Education and Experience:
* 3+ years' experience of Property Management experience in a management capacity plus a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination or education and experience.
* 3+ years of learning and development or training experience preferred.

Other Qualifications:
* Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
* Must be able to travel 25% of the time. Travel by air and overnight travel required.
* Able to work independently.

Salary range is $85K-$100K (non-exempt/hourly). We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(K) match, rental incentive and renewal compensation, and bonuses depending on location. Regular full-time employees who work between 30-40 hours a week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, other voluntary benefits and vacation accrual. Sick time accrual is provided in accordance with law.
