Job Description

The Design Manager is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing a wide range of high-quality graphic designs that align with the conceptual vision and meet strategic and creative objectives for each project. With the Creative Director, the Design Manager must deliver technical and innovative solutions for internal marketing teams. The quality of the design output is crucial in helping the team anticipate and implement the best approaches to execute the work, all while considering time, cost, and quality.

What You Will Do:

* Develops and leads a high-performing team of designers.
* Leads production of print, web, and social marketing collateral, advertising, event, direct response, informational, and other sales materials.
* Manages efficiency and quality in production.
* Researches and executes custom graphic needs, including acquisition of stock photos, and arrangements for custom illustration.
* Responds to project requests in a timely fashion to meet time-sensitive project deadlines and oversee the project through completion.
* Responsible for juggling multiple deadlines, prioritizing work, and keeping projects moving forward.
* Maintains current knowledge of computer design software applications and emerging technologies in new media.
* Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

You Need to Have:

* Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
* Ability to create clean and modern design aesthetic.
* Dedication to graphic consistency, brand standards, and quality across all channels.
* Detailed understanding and technical expertise to assure quality through every project stage.
* Ability to work on team-based projects. Ability to establish and maintain high levels of trust with team and partners.

* Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
* Building and designing layouts, templates, and brand extensions.
* Experience in image optimizing, retouching, manipulation, and color correction.
* Experience with designing large-scale environmental displays preferred.
* Basic notions of web design.
* Experience in PowerPoint, Prezi, and MS Office.
* Ability to work in a MAC-based environment.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, fine arts, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 7+ years of experience in production and graphic design at an agency or within an in-house design team.
