Note: We are looking for an HRBP to support our new Dallas distribution center opening in Q4 2024. The person in this position will work remotely supporting HR functions until the facility opens and then will transition to an on-site role.

The HRBP is responsible for supporting all efforts of the human resources department, including recruiting, safety, employee relations, employee engagement, and communications. This position will provide advice and counsel to all employees and leadership, following the policies, procedures, and practices of the company. This role will address employee relation issues and provide feedback to functional managers in order to ensure issues/concerns are addressed in a timely and positive manner.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  1. Administer various human resources policies, procedures, and programs for all team members, including compensation, benefits, leaves, training, and recognition. Provide assistance to team members with questions regarding pay and benefits.
  2. Process FMLA paperwork and assist in administering leave of absences.
  3. Assist the Sr. Manager and department leaders in various objectives to drive company culture and positive employee relations through strong communications and support.
  4. Collaborate and assist in recruiting and safety efforts throughout the organization.
  5. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends for local and corporate reporting.
  6. Assist with maintaining department and employee files, job descriptions, and company programs to ensure accuracy and up to date.
  7. Investigate and participate in employee disciplinary meetings and discharges. Respond to/resolve employee concerns in a consistent and effective manner.
  8. Lead and facilitate employee engagements events and employee communications.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field is required.
  • 3+ years of HR experience is required. Manufacturing or warehouse environment experience preferred.
  • Software experience: Microsoft Office Suite, Payroll Software (UKG preferred).

Required Licenses

  • SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Knowledge of HRIS, including talent management systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to solve problems based on policy and situational awareness. Ability to respond to complaints.
  • Ability to effectively present information to all team members, both management and production.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret employment policy and laws.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Travel

  • Minimal travel may be required.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to sedentary work; Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Physical Activities

This position is subject to the following physical activities; standing, walking, grasping, talking, hearing, and the use of hands, wrists and fingers in repetitive motions.

Visual Acuity

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading.

Working Conditions

This position is subject to inside environmental conditions and will be subject to both a professional office and warehouse environment.
