Inpro Corporation, a manufacturer of architectural building products, is currently seeking a Sewing Operator available at our Phoenix, AZ facility.

Job Summary: This position works with our Clickeze division and performs production-related activities outlined in work instructions and verbal instructions from the manufacturing group. Standards and activities may be applied to, but are not limited to, cutting, sewing, and assembly. The Sewing Operator will construct various products using different types of fabric.

Primary Duties:

  • Maintain and use calibrated tools.
  • Set-up and perform tasks with industrial sewing machines.
  • Maintain strict and precise attention to detail and quality.
  • Identify materials and processes required as per work order and/or bill of materials and/or drawing.
  • Perform self inspection/evaluation of operations performed to insure required/expected results have been achieved as per work order.
  • Maintain and use manufacturing templates.
  • Possess the ability to learn, understand, and consistently perform sewing techniques requiring a high level of precision on products that might present difficulty because of complex construction on multiple operations.
  • Capable of reading, understanding, manipulating measuring devises.
  • Able to operate: Bar tack, single needle machine, with or without folder, double needle machine, with or without folder/puller, binder (folder), walking foot machine, four-needle machine, Ultrasonic Welder Joining Equipment, grommet/snap machines.
  • Able to perform minor machine repairs, as directed.
  • Able to use gauges incremented in 1/8, 1/16, and 1/32 inches.
  • Able to identify webbing, materials, and hardware needed for project.
  • Maintains quality by inspecting finished product.
  • Approves materials by inspecting materials for flaws.
  • All other duties as assigned.

    Specifications:

    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Leadership ability.
    • Ability to train new employees.
    • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
    • Have a basic understanding of manufacturing software programs.
    • High School diploma or equivalent and some college preferred.

    Hours:

    • Monday - Thursday; 5:00am - 3:30pm
