BlueHalo is seeking an eCAD Librarian who will be responsible for maintaining the health and operational readiness of the program's Altium PCB CAD library, including schematic symbols and component footprints. You'd like to do this
    Serve as the point-of-contact for maintaining the customer's Altium PCB Component Library
  • Create, modify, review, and approve schematic symbols and PCB component footprints.
  • Advise, implement, and disseminate best practices for eCAD component design.
  • Improve and incorporate design for manufacturing consideration, applies sponsor's symbol organization conventions and layer assignment conventions, and stays up to date with PCB fabrication and SMT assembly techniques and processes from commercial industry.
  • Advise and assist customer electrical engineers with schematic capture and layout design.
    • PCB layout designs will range in complexity from two to twelve electrical layers with high density interconnects and blind/buried vias. Components will range from passive and leaded components to BGAs, SiPs, SoMs, and complex heterogenous integration packages.
  • Incorporate improvements to library components based on feedback from engineers and PCB production and QA/inspection activities.
  • Mentor designers on library maintenance and configuration management best practices.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to engineers and logisticians for PWB procurement support.
You're required to have this
  • 5+ years of experience as a dedicated eCAD Librarian or PCB Layout Designer.
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics PADS or Cadence
  • Working knowledge of Altium Designer.

  • Willing to support occasional extended work hours for quick reaction projects.
  • Previous experience on hardware-oriented government contracts.
