New York Institute of Technology Office of Academic Affairs and Student Life, seeks an Associate Dean Campus Life, located at the Old Westbury campus.

Responsibilities
    Represent Student Life in all campus matters as the second in charge of the unit, and as the top-level full-time representative of Student Life at the New York Campuses.
  • Supervise the Office Student Engagement.
  • Supervise the Offices of Residence Life, which includes a new Long Island residence hall opening September 2024 and a residence hall in New York City.
  • Assist in managing daily responses to student needs.
  • Oversee student conduct processes at the New York Campuses working closely with the Dean of Students, Associate Provost for Student Engagement & Development, General Counsel, and other campus partners as needed.
  • Coordinate conduct and community standards educational programming in collaboration with campus partners.
  • Manage Academic Integrity Policy issues, leading all conversations with faculty and students and manage case investigations.
  • Manage student crisis response in coordination with the Dean of Students, Counseling & Wellness, Security, and other campus partners
  • Oversee the Student Life behavioral intervention and threat assessment teams
  • Collaborate with the Title IX investigative process, as needed.
  • Serve on committees within Student Engagement and Development as well as College wide initiatives.
  • Liaison to the units of Security, Facilities, Dining, Strategic Communications & External Affairs, and Enrollment Services.
  • Coordinate assessment projects for Student Life.
Qualifications
  • A Masters required, Terminal degree preferred (J.D., Ed.D, Ph.D).
  • Preferred Degree in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, Higher Education, Student Affairs or related field, Juris Doctorate.
  • Required field of expertise in college student personnel, Student conduct, Campus emergency response, Assessment, Title IX processes and investigations.
  • Training in Title IX is required.
  • Must have 6-8 years progressive experience leading student affairs departments including residence life, student activities, student conduct, crisis/emergency management and management of students of concerns and multicultural affairs.
  • Must have knowledge of diverse student populations with a high multicultural competence. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, and creating and facilitating inclusive climates inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Must have collaborative approach in working with campus partners: including faculty, academic affairs administrators, as well as facilities, alumni relations, career services and communications and marketing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

USD $100,000.00/Yr.
Maximum Salary
USD $107,375.00/Yr.
