Aon Is Looking for a Graphic Design Specialist to join our team!

This position will require strong conceptual design skills and creative passion. This is a remote role, but you must be based in California.

What the day will look like

We are seeking a graphic design specialist to join our creative team to assist with deliverables to help the firm win new business and retain clients. We are a fast-paced team that works closely with our account and sales teams to create visual messaging that tells the Aon story. You will report directly to a North American Creative Manager, who will provide you with the support and direction to grow as an in-house corporate designer

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Working as part of a collaborative team of design professionals solving complex client problems using a variety of both traditional and innovative tools
  • Partnering with account teams and leadership to understand the business
  • Developing flexible processes and tools to support different levels of creative needs in a fast-paced, budget-conscious environment
  • Assisting with graphics, layouts, formatting, conceptual thinking, and creative strategy
  • Create charts, diagrams and/or visuals
  • Lead discussion of project details with the client to determine agreed-upon design and time frame to ensure client satisfaction
  • Actively listens to client ideas and feedback to promote understanding.
  • Must be able to quickly, and efficiently pull various file formats and combine content into a consistent, cohesive appearance.
  • Must be able to work within an established corporate brand identity, using templates, color palate, fonts and visual style
  • Communicates clearly with colleagues across all job levels
  • Demonstrates verbal and written skills to provide necessary information clearly and in a timely fashion.
  • Relies on supervisory direction and guidance to plan and accomplish tasks and roles.
  • Actively improving knowledge of department operating processes methodologies and skill sets.
  • Exhibits Aon IQ and skill sets required and demonstrates a commitment to personal skill development.
  • Resourceful in identifying, researching, and recommending improvements to successfully produce quality results.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for work produced and provides support to others.

Education:

  • Associate degree in graphics design
  • 1-2 years of graphic design experience (digital portfolio required)

Technical:

  • PowerPoint.
  • Acrobat
  • Photoshop,
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • Word

Professional:

  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create a variety of documents such as proposals and presentations.
  • Ability to work with client-facing professionals to create documents that consistently meet client and deadline expectations.
  • Work effectively with executives, peers, and colleagues in all aspects of project development. Projects often have "hurry up then wait" schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The salary range for this position is $64,000 - $67,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant's geographic location.
