The Role
Be part of Waterworks' expansion into new products and in global markets! The Senior Compliance Specialist, International is responsible for developing, communicating and implementing product compliance programs, procedures and guidelines that meet governmental and industry regulations. You will work closely with the Compliance Manager, Engineering, Product Development and our Sales teams in a fast-moving company which distributes luxury goods into expanding global channels. You will ensure that our product is designed and manufactured to the exact specifications needed to be embraced worldwide.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development teams to reviewing design data; identify and resolve product and engineering design challenges.
  • Focus on international compliance; research and identify pertinent and current code requirements and legislation applicable to sales regions, such as WRAS, TISI, DVGW, ACS, and WSD.
  • Obtain quotations, coordinate testing procedures through a Waterworks selected testing agency, and define test samples.
  • Support manager to perform certification of Waterworks plumbing fittings, fixtures, and other related products through third party certification agencies, such as IAPMO, UL, and/or jurisdictions such as states and cities.
  • Support Waterworks Sales teams and/or other key cross functional partners with specification efforts by coordinating with any combination of the following: the specifiers (Architects, Engineers), the installers (General, Mechanical, or Plumbing Contractors), the users, and the Building/Code Officials.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings for relevant specifications towards compliance.
  • Contributor to Waterworks Product Standards for performance and safety.
  • Organize compliance program by preparing timetables, cost estimates, and required resources including test laboratories and equipment.
  • Maintaining compliance database by reviewing, updating and ensuring accuracy of all required regulatory documentation.
  • Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all applicable regulatory agency and performance standards through tracking and understanding emerging compliance engineering practices and standards; participating on applicable regulatory activities, industry organizations or standards development; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in related field (production planning, manufacturing, plumbing)
  • Knowledge of national plumbing standards and/or product compliance procedures; international knowledge a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word and Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • High degree of integrity and fairness
  • Experience with Solidworks and AutoCAD and the ability to read and interpret technical specifications and mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of building product and codes preferred
  • Required travel up to 10% of the time
