Job Summary:
The Jr. Designer assists in developing and executing marketing campaigns, projects and events. The Jr. Designer should be proficient with day-to-day marketing activities and strive under tight deadlines to meet the company's changing needs. This position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah and reports directly to the Marketing Operations Manager.

Compensation:
$60,000, salaried

Essential Functions:

  • Participates in various design projects from concept to completion.
  • Produces various marketing collateral, print and digital.
  • Can turn-around designs quickly and efficiently.
  • Listens to feedback to hone skills and improve design.
  • Works closely with Design Strategist.
  • Works closely with design, photo and video vendors, as well as other vendors as seen fit.
  • Responsible for assisting all phases of creative development work from concept to completion.
  • Works closely with Marketing Operations team, Digital Marketing team as well as Marketing Segment Managers.
  • Assist in the execution of marketing programs, leveraging internal support and collaborating with other team members.
  • Evaluates and adopts the most effective tools and techniques across all media.
  • Assist with continuous marketing projects varying from basic design work to larger campaigns and event design.
  • Works closely with Copywriter and Copy vendors to write clear on-brand copy for video and printed marketing materials.
  • Assists Marketing Operations Manager with campaigns, events and other marketing needs as seen fit.

Additional Functions:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field OR minimum 2 years' experience in marketing or related field.
  • Strong working understanding of the Adobe suite of design software.
  • Creativity: Creativity allows the Jr. Designer to create visually appealing images and marketing materials, making it a critical skill for the marketing department.
  • Project management: The Jr. Designer is often involved with multiple projects at one time. The ability to organize details and complete projects in a timely manner is crucial in this position.
  • Proven success in developing marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to manage conflict and successfully build good relationships.

Travel Requirements:

  • At minimum 10%

Education:

  • Associate's degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field OR minimum 2 years' experience in marketing or related field.

Typical Environmental Conditions:

  • Indoor office environment.
  • Indoor and outdoor areas of a typical office facility.

Typical Physical Activity:

  • Physical Demands/Requirements consist of sitting, performing sedentary work, inspections of facilities, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, standing, walking, typing, talking, hearing, traveling, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
