The Legal Aid Society's Civil Practice is seeking a Grant Manager for the Grants and Contracts Unit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of fiscal related program code/contract level tracking for Civil G&C
    • Weekly meetings with Deputy Directors/teams in Civil G&C
    • Weekly meeting with FP&A on budget request statuses
    • Regular meeting with Finance G&C
    • Regular meeting with FP&A on Civil model
  • Management of administrative side of contracting for Civil G&C (insurance docs; tracking status in PassPort/other systems; drafting and following up on FCA; etc.).
  • Requesting all allocation changes and ensuring on a bi-monthly basis that all allocations have been accurately input by FP&A in the GL (via allocation history report)
  • Coordination with subcontractors as needed on approved budgets
  • Coordination with Practice Admin team on open positions in the Practice (to inform budget decisions by Civil G&C on program code level)
  • Assist in streamlining systems for sharing information with Finance G&C and FP&A
  • Other duties as needed

Manhattan - Civil Practice Lower Manhattan Neighborhood Office
  • MBA/MPA or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of demonstrated work experience in grants/contracts reporting, management, and/or program evaluation
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately and quickly gather data, compile information, and keep accurate records
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent quantitative abilities
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work closely with staff as part of a team
  • Excellent judgment, including ability to handle sensitive or confidential information
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to thrive and learn in a complex, fast-paced environment and adjust to fluctuating organizational priorities
  • Possess a strong, demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

SALARY TRANSPARENCY

The posting reflects the range of potential salaries for the role. The specific salary offers will be dependent on candidate qualifications, including collectively bargained salary steps for unionized roles.

Salary Range/ Salary: $89,749
