Test Equipment Engineer - Electrical Engineer
Position Summary:
Marotta Controls is seeking an electrical engineer to support the development of Special and/or Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for the Power and Control Actuation Systems (PAS) business unit. The applicant should have a background in Electrical Engineering with demonstrated skills in the development of power supply, motor control, and power distribution unit testing.
Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:
  • Design test systems including test consoles and Interface Test Adapters (ITA)
  • Develop Test Equipment System Requirements (TE SRR), Test Equipment Design (TE PDR/CDR), and Test Equipment Validation Procedures/Reports
  • Ability to use various laboratory equipment (e.g. power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes)
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and diagnose issues with test equipment systems and determine root cause and corrective actions (RCCA)
  • Perform and complete SDRLs and other documents regarding Test Plans/Procedures, Validation Plans/Procedures, and other related engineering deliverables.
  • Work with outside vendors and suppliers.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar is required
  • Experience in Test Engineering / Test Equipment design for power electronics system testing
  • Experience designing test systems utilizing a Test Console and Interface Test Adapter (ITA)
  • Must be a US Citizen
Required Skills:
  • Test equipment hardware selection. Electrical schematic generation. EEE parts selection.
  • Software: OrCAD, LT Spice, MS Visio, MS Office
Additional skills Preferred:
  • Project planning, monitoring, and reporting
  • Experience in PCB layout and routing
  • Software: C#, LabVIEW
This position is at our Parsippany, NJ office location.
