Office of Regulatory Relations:

The Office of Regulatory Relations manages BNY supervisory relationships and related processes for major regulatory supervisors, serving as a central coordination and communications point for regulators and BNY employees regarding exams, requests, concerns, and firm-wide matters.

Implements communication plans in support of key in support of the firm's key strategic initiatives and business goals in support of U.S. regulatory relationships. Strong writing and communications skills. Cultivates collaborative relationships with internal leaders to support activities. Provides technical guidance. Establishes good working relationships with internal teams. Collaborates with business partners to help formulate decision criteria. Adheres to policies and procedures and is familiar with company practices. May lead special projects/initiatives for the function. Acts with a clear sense of accountability supporting functional or business initiatives. Proactively identifies obstacles and recommends solutions. Fosters open dialogue and collaboration across teams. No direct reports. Reports to Director, Communications (Office of Regulatory Relations).

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President II, Communications (Office of Regulatory Relations) join our Office of Regulatory Relations team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL HYBRID

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Supports BNY Mellon's strategy for regulatory communications by leading the development of clear, consistent, and connected narratives.
  • Merges, edits, and formats technical and, at times, disparate content from subject matter experts into cohesive story, ensuring an enterprise lens is applied.
  • Prepares/trains employees for effective regulatory interactions.
  • Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with senior business stakeholders.
  • Performs quality control reviews, and enforces templates and style guidelines.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of work experience required.
  • 12+ years of related experience preferred.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred, particularly within a Risk, Compliance, or Legal function of a G-SIB.
  • Strong writing, presentation development, editing, and project management skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and AP Style.
  • Executive presence and grace under pressure.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously and within tight deadlines.
