Overview of role

DCC Technology seeks a dynamic and innovative Divisional Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for developing and implementing comprehensive external and internal communications strategies and hands-on execution that drive progress in bringing to life our brand and values. It also keeps our people updated to drive greater engagement with our people, customers, and vendors through more extroverted and inspiring marketing and communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Internal Communication Enhancement: Strengthen DCC Technology's internal connectivity (particularly in North America) by fostering a strong engagement and cut-through around the transformation within the region using innovative and engaging methods and driving authentic connections within the c-suite (including internal town halls to more real-time communications combined with a marketing calendar)
  • Comprehensive Communications Strategy: Manage group communications with customers, vendors, employees, and shareholders on the purpose, values, and innovation within DCC Technology using social, web, and internal platforms
  • Content Strategy: drive a rich content strategy to feed into employees, customers, vendors, and shareholders to breathe life into the purpose and inspiration of the DCC Technology family
  • Global Marketing progress: manage the global marketing forum with marketing leaders within our businesses and brands to drive collective progress, clarity around brand hierarchy, innovation around marketing
  • DCC Technology brand owner: own the DCC Technology brand, all assets from web to social, external relations externally and internal interface into DCC, whilst supporting employee brand position (EVP) of our trading brands
  • Integrate with business communications: integrate heavily with local marketing teams and businesses to ensure complementary information, timing, tone, and landing of messages through great collaboration.

Key Skills:
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization, and project management skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with an ability to leverage AI tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build networks and influence senior executives.
  • Ability to execute bi-lingual communication and collaboration, especially in French for the Canadian region as well as in European languages
  • Creative and strategic thinking for developing effective communication strategies.
  • Proficient digital skills for content creation and marketing execution
  • Ability to think strategically and a need to be highly operational to drive execution and performance

Desirable Experience:
  • Background in Communications, Marketing Journalism, or Public Relations.
  • Demonstrable writing expertise, potentially evidenced by a relevant qualification.
  • Experience working with digital, marketing, and AI toolsets

Metrics:
  • Engagement metrics such as reach, consumption rates, response rates, and content engagement to drive overall employee engagement scores and external brand perception.

Qualifications

What we look for in a candidate:
  • 5+ years of experience with successful development and execution of strategic marketing plans
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Experience negotiating skillfully, promote/sell ideas persuasively, and close transactions with mutually beneficial results.
  • Experience assimilating research data from a variety of sources to recommend appropriate actions.
  • Ability to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to identify needs and opportunities and translate into plans
  • Experience creating and conducting formal presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Experience thinking both strategically and tactically.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Experience with SalesForce CRM and marketing automation systems a plus
