Position Summary

NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Director, Annual Giving. The Assistant Director will report to the Associate Director, Annual Giving, and serve as a frontline fundraiser, cultivating and soliciting annual gifts from alumni, prospects, and friends of NYU Stern. This individual will be responsible for meeting an annual goal and will manage a pool of prospects capable of making gifts of $1,500+ for annual fund, planning and driving all cultivation and solicitation activity for these prospects. Position is responsible for in-person visits throughout the year. Additionally, the individual in this position will recruit, coach, and fully support MBA Legacy Class Gift Committee Members and their extensive fundraising campaign to their peers. In partnership with the Alumni Relations team, this position is also responsible for liaising with young alumni (graduates of the last ten years) of all Stern degree types to help encourage philanthropic participation and engagement among this group to actively build and maintain the pipeline of donors.

Qualifications

The selected candidate must have a bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in sales/nonprofit fundraising, planning events, planning donor campaigns, marketing, public relations, or an equivalent combination. Excellent writing, public speaking, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $66,600.00 to USD $81,400.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
