Overall Responsibility

The Broad is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to support continuous improvement by leveraging the Broad's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) toolset. The candidate will partner with other members of the Enterprise Systems and functional teams to translate business requirements, and design, develop, and test solutions that deliver maximum business value. The candidate will gain experience with an evolving slate of systems which currently include: Oracle Cloud, SAP ECC, SAP Business Warehouse, Huron Research Suite, Jaggaer (SciQuest) e-Procurement, Concur Expense and Travel Management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Provide support for Broad's functional teams, primarily the Controller's Office,

  • Document business requirements through interviews, document analysis, surveys, use cases, task and workflow analysis,

  • Critically evaluate information gathered, reconcile conflicts, and distill requests to true needs,

  • Prepare functional and technical specifications,

  • Perform system configuration across supported systems,

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues,

  • Develop partnerships with business users,

  • Develop test plans and test solutions,

  • Develop training materials and deliver training,

  • Manage projects of varying size, as assigned,



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business management

  • Experience with Expense and Travel Management platform preferably SAP Concur

  • Good knowledge on all accounting related activities, including G/L, Financial Statements, A/R, A/P, Assets, allocations, costing, etc., preferably on Oracle Cloud ERP

  • Minimum of three years experience with financial system modules

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of non-profit research institutions preferred
