Harvard Business Publishing Education (HBP Education) partners with educators & learners worldwide by being the richest source of ideas for improving management.

The Senior Product Manager leads product teams towards developing and implementing technical solutions tailored for our B2B academic institutional clients. This role ensures effective delivery of course materials, integrations with partners and Learning Management Systems (LMS), and manages back-end services needed to maintain and enhance our website's core functions.

This role will report to the Director, Product Management and collaborate with product teams and key stakeholders to drive strategy, roadmaps, and KPIs for business-critical needs to continually improve performance and impact.

What you'll do:

  • Drive strategy, technical roadmaps, and business-critical needs tocontinually improve performance KPIs for the Higher Education market

  • Lead cross-functional product team(s) indeveloping and implementing technical solutionstailored for academic institutional customers and partners

  • Serve as Product Owner for one or more agile teams, driving story development, backlog refinement, and prioritization

  • Collaborate with engineering practice and manage roadmap for back-end services tomaintain and enhance the website's core functions; identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness

  • Partner with the Director, Product Management to define and prioritize roadmaps according to business and execution strategy

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders from the organization, includingCustomer Success, Sales, Marketing, and Learning Products, and serve as a subject matter expert in specific website and integration features from a functional, financial and business perspective

  • Identify relevant KPIs and metrics of success critical to evolving the website and integrations, and partner with stakeholders to create effective and efficient reporting

  • Improve operational efficiency including documenting, simplifying, and optimizing relevant user and data flows

What you'll bring:

  • 7+ years of product management experience for websites or digital products

  • Strong understanding of the product life cycle, from concept to design, development, deployment, optimization and maintenance

  • Experience working with agile teams and frameworks (Scrum and/or Kanban) and prioritizing features/roadmap for technical teams

  • Experience working directly with engineering teams (developers, QA, Release Engineering, DevOps) and microservices-based solutions

  • Proven ability to influence product visionboth internally and with key external partners

  • Proven ability tosynthesize market data, track product performance and analytics, and collect user feedbackto inform feature development and go-to-market strategies

You'll stand out if you have:

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) standard

  • Experience with B2B and B2C eCommerce or online marketplaces a plus

$125,000 - $140,000

Above is the annualized pay range for this position. In addition, this position includes the opportunity to earn our annual Performance Based Variable Pay Program. Actual salary will be set based upon a range of factors, including external benchmark market data, individual knowledge, skills, experience, location and internal equity.
