SUMMARY
Storeroom supervisor oversees and coordinates activities in a storeroom. Direct and coordinate inventory control functions with Operations, Purchasing, Information Technology and Finance departments. Direct the receiving, storing, disbursing, and delivering of supplies and materials. Evaluate the storeroom activities for accuracy and quality

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Direct supervision of stores attendants, including stores attendant work schedules, training, evaluating performance standards, soliciting OT to cover vacancies and additional workload, approving hourly payroll, resolving disputes and disciplining, when necessary, as well as assuring compliance of employees to all policies and procedures.
Responsible to organize and manage satellite storage locations.
Responsible for development and monitoring of inventory reduction plans
Responsible for monitoring of vendor stock programs with the support of Purchasing Team
Utilize SAP for materials management related to storeroom, i.e., approval of items to add to stores, creation of MIDs, updating the MIDs' part description, specification, and adjustment max/min on items, cycle counts, etc.
Insures proper inventory and stocking levels are maintained; insures that cycle count and physical inventory are accurate.
Supports Purchasing Department in coordinated activities for competitive bidding and procurement of storeroom materials and supplies.
Support effort in Storeroom to utilize global, national and regional supply agreements by participating cross functional teams
Interacts with Maintenance planners and Purchasing to facilitate the replacement and repairs of equipment.
Recommends and develops strategic plans that minimize inventory, reduce lead-time and eliminate shrinkage.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BS degree with Certification in materials management or purchasing experience preferred, or four years related supervisory experience in warehouse/storeroom environment.

SPECIAL SKILLS
Must be self-motivated with the capability of assessing the situation, formulating a recommendation or proposal, making a decision and following through with the action plan or item.
Knowledge of warehouse and stores inventory management systems.
SAP literate, advanced training in SAP CMMS or SAP Materials desirable.
Excellent organizational skills .
Can be part of a professional buying team that coordinates purchases.
Understands purchasing concepts, legal terms and cost concepts as how they relate to total company performance. Understanding of purchasing law, Uniform Commercial Code, and terms and conditions.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work under minimum supervision.
Willingness to work toward professional development as need arises.
Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations with suppliers, peers, and customers.
Ability to work extended hours as need arises
Works within TIMET's Corporate Policies, ISO & Quality Procedures and SOX Compliant.
Must be proficient user of Microsoft Office and working knowledge of SAP or another ERP system
