We have an exciting opening for a Senior Coordinator, Business Development supporting our Financial Restructuring Practice Group.

The Senior Coordinator, Business Development supports the overall business development and marketing efforts of the Firm by helping to create and execute strategic activities related specifically to the Financial Restructuring practice across multiple markets, clients, and geographies.

In this capacity, the Senior Coordinator, Business Development will:

  • Thoughtful preparation of pitch, proposal, and client meeting materials (talking points, research, etc.), offer recommendations on our approach, deliver tailored documents that tie into the proposed strategy and points of differentiation;
  • Conduct research on companies, industries, marketplaces and competitors related to pitches and other strategic initiatives;
  • Gather intelligence on legal industry trends to provide an overview of the competitive landscape and explore opportunities;
  • Collaborate with the global business development team on the identification and pursuit of cross-selling initiatives, in addition to other internal stakeholders on the development and execution of business development and marketing plans;
  • Provide support on a cross-border, cross-departmental key client work and relationship development;
  • Support practice-related events, seminars, and briefings (planning, marketing communications, logistics);
  • Collaborate with PR & Communications on way to increase the practice and lawyers profile with the media;
  • Travel as needed to support initiatives and participate in activities;
  • Maintain the business development and marketing databases;
  • Track business development activities, including meetings, presentations, pitches;
  • Support all profile raising efforts for the Financial Restructuring team, including writing annual director and award nominations and writing and maintaining current content on Firm website; and
  • Perform special projects as requested.

Proficiencies:

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills, including attention to detail and proofreading;
  • Knowledge of technologies, developments, trends and literature related to legal and professional services marketing fields;
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, document management, and CRM systems;
  • Research skills and ability to turn data into useful deliverables;
  • Solid understanding of the needs and expectations of law firm operations and corporate legal clients in order to function at a strategic level;
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing principles, procedures, concepts and practical applications;
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking and relationship management;
  • Proficiency in team building, management, and leadership skills; and
  • Knowledge of the needs and expectations of law firm operations, partners, and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in marketing, law or business (required);
  • At least 4 years of work experience (required); Law firm experience (preferred);and
  • Experience supporting Financial Restructuring practice group (required).

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $77,300 and a maximum of $95,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
