Position Description
The Marketing and Communications Intern will report to the Senior Communications Manager and Marketing Manager, and work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Marketing and Communications Assistant, and Marketing Copywriter on the Marketing and Communications team (MarComm). The Marketing and Communications Intern will support the implementation of a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for the Department, with an emphasis on communications, social media and website management. The Marketing and Communications Intern will help promote the Colorado brand business objectives, OEDIT programs and messages to target audiences and key constituents.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the CMO and MarComm team to implement a multi-channel marketing strategy and a comprehensive communication strategy for the organization and Division Directors.
Updating website content weekly in alignment with accessibility standards including but not limited to fixing broken links, adding alt text, updating tables, and implementing redirects.
Support clear communications with the media by creating fact sheets, helping write editorials and other public relations collateral including press releases and/or blog posts.
Draft, schedule, post, and support social media content across multiple channels while collaborating with the Senior Communications Manager and Marketing Manager.
Support organizing contact lists for newsletters, emails and media outreach.
Support the MarComm team with tracking metrics
Assist with preparing materials for press releases and media pitches, as well as metrics and analytics related to media coverage.
Help order, maintain and organize marketing materials and collateral.
Assist with other MarComm team responsibilities, as needed.
