About the Opportunity
The TB team works to identify and treat TB disease, prevent new cases of TB by identifying, evaluating, and treating people who have been exposed to infectious TB disease, and screen people at high risk for TB infection. This position will primarily manage immigrants relocating to Washington County who need TB screening. This will entail phone calls and in-person assessments, laboratory and radiology tests, patient education, and documentation in the county's electronic health record. This position will also require periodic coverage of the Nurse of the Day duties, such as triaging daily TB-related phone calls, emails, and faxes from providers, hospitals, and the public, monitoring results, and following up on urgent issues.

The work schedule is flexible as long as it meets the program needs. Currently, Tuesdays and Fridays are required but this may change in the next few months depending on the schedule needs. This position is NOT eligible for health insurance benefits (medical, dental, and vision) but will be eligible for prorated sick time, vacation time, and paid holidays. This position is also eligible for a hybrid work schedule including 1-2 days of remote work.

Who We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have nursing experience in public health and working in a TB program. This position requires both independence and the ability to work well with a team. We are looking for someone who is accountable, organized, and efficient.
