About the job

SAS is seeking a US Federal Financial and Regulatory Senior Account Executive who will provide strategic guidance and lead SAS business development efforts in the federal financial and regulator space. The primary areas of focus include, but are not limited to strategies that address the needs of US Treasury and regulatory agencies including: CFPB, CFTC, FDIC, NCUA, OCC, and SEC.

As a Sr. Account Executive for Federal Financials, you will:

    Identify, prospect, qualify, and drive sales opportunities specific to the federal financial space.
  • Develop strategic account plans.
  • Cultivate both user level, middle management, and executive level customer relationships.
  • Identify emerging market or areas of focus within the territory.
  • Determine customer needs and work with a broader SAS support resources to propose relevant technology solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in complex solution (technology and or consulting) sales to the federal government.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, MIS, or other relevant discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
  • Track record of implementing consultative sales techniques; knowledge of hardware and/or software federal government acquisition cycles and buying influences.
  • Advanced knowledge of federal government software, cloud, consulting and solution terminology and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, skills in analyzing and evaluating federal government agency priorities to develop and implement a sales plan.
  • Ability to initiate and lead projects; ability to work effectively in a team environment; ability to relate technical and business concepts to SAS applications and user needs; ability to work independently and as part of a team;

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAS solutions and services
  • Experience in business development, sales, or consulting support for the target agencies
