Job Overview

This temporary Test Technician is responsible for test activities including preparing windows and doors for testing, conducting continuous improvement and development tests, and formal documentation of test results. Assist the development, support, and continuous improvement teams in root cause analysis of testing failures. Participate in test improvements, maintenance, housekeeping, and calibration of testing equipment.

Highlights of your role
    Product Testing & Reports: Install windows and doors according to installation or testing instructions. Able to operate test equipment as it relates to ASTM test procedures and product performance. Accurately document and timely communicate test results to development, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Test Equipment: Maintain test equipment through preventative maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Test Activities: Build test bucks, control inventory management for test area, continuously improve testing and safety measurements, and update test Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Facility Activities: Responsible for test unit deliveries, transfers, and notifications. May include assisting with cleaning, general maintenance, incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Product Knowledge: Become intimately familiar with product components and designs, understanding how design relates to field performance and certification requirements.
  • Temporary position is approximately 4 - 6 months
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree is preferred
  • Working knowledge of tools (chop saw, table saw, drill press, etc.) required
  • Must be able to obtain forklift and scissor lift platform licenses
  • Able to work on a temporary basis for approximately 4 - 6 months
