This position is eligible for a hybrid Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) (on-campus and remote work). FWA arrangements are subject to manager approval and may shift due to changes in business needs.

Purpose

Manage the undergraduate admissions coordinators within the Fine Arts Admissions team and prospective student events, communications, and marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, supervise and evaluate undergraduate admissions coordinators who support the Department of Art and Art History, Department of Theatre and Dance and School of Design and Creative Technologies. Oversee the design and evaluation of the Student Ambassador Program, providing leadership and facilitating pathways for program development. Manage student social media specialist(s).

  • Manage COFA undergraduate recruitment events as determined by the Director of Admissions, including agenda development, scheduling, event staffing, venue management, budgeting and expense tracking, communications, registration management and evaluation. These info sessions, tours and special events for families or school groups may occur on campus, virtually, or in regional locations.

  • Manage COFA prospective student marketing and communications. Develop printed recruitment materials in coordination with stakeholders, research and order promotional items, and maintain inventories. Manage active online presence, including the COFA admissions webpages and social media accounts. Oversee marketing email campaigns, including drafting and approving content and delivery schedules. Work with COFA marketing and communications team to ensure alignment and execution of college branding and marketing strategies.

  • Represent COFA at recruitment events organized by the college or the Office of Admissions, on campus or regionally (may require travel), and facilitate prospective student meetings, tours, and inquiries as needed. Utilizeclient-relationship-management(CRM) database to manage engagement with prospective undergraduate students throughout the college search and enrollment process.

  • Contribute to additional projects as assigned to advance the priorities of COFA Admissions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree

  • Three years of supervisory experience.

  • Four years coordinating or administering a program.

  • Experience working on a university or college campus.

  • Event management experience, including planning, budgeting and execution.

  • Marketing and communication experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.

  • Experience supervising professional staff

  • Experience as an orientation or peer advisor, resident assistant, student ambassador, or with other student service-oriented departments or organizations.

  • Experience with UT Austin programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Experience with client relationship databases.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully build, nurture, and balance professional relationships to achieve tasks.

  • Experience in the arts, design, or related fields.

Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provided a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

Salary Range

$60,000+, depending on qualifications

Working Conditions
  • This position is eligible for a Hybrid Flexible Work Arrangement (remote + on-campus).

Work Shift
  • Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with occasional night and weekend events, as needed.
