Contracts Administrator II - Remote Role ; supporting the Orlando Regional office .

Description

Monitors full compliance with terms and conditions of standard and non-standard contracts. Assists and coordinates with Contracts Manager to effectively administer, invoice, and close-out contracts. Participates in proposal preparation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of direct labor, material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following duties.   • Facilitates preparation, review and submittal of cost proposals in response to customer request
  • Coordinates contract modifications with Contracts Management and customer
  • Prepares bids, contract reports, and data items for transmittal to customers
  • Manages the coordination of various types of agreements and other contract/legal documents with accounting, legal, program management and other company functions and organizations as necessary in accordance with company policy
  • Works with the Contracts Manager to advise management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretations of contract terms and conditions
  • Works closely with management at the project and/or group level to coordinate work changes that could influence the contract
  • Interfaces with company cost and sales accounting system (SAP) and various Management Information Systems to record and maintain contract information
  • Coordinates with internal and external customers to facilitate invoicing process
  • Maintains contract file in accordance with company policy
  • Conducts contract compliance audits and contract close-out activities
  • Performs other job-related tasks as assigned and required; any duties/tasks included in the employee's performance evaluation elements are essential to that employee's position within the job classification.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Related Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university
  • 2+ years' experience in a related field

KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

The following skills and abilities are required:

  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
  • Highly developed reading comprehension and writing skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment; receive and execute assigned tasks with quality results and in a timely manner
  • Organizational skills are critical to success
  • Minimal travel may be required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting new business capture efforts
  • Experience with international law and regulation
  • Experience with Service Contract Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and Truthful in Negotiations Act

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Clearance.
