The Pediatric Social Work Clinical Manager has oversight and supervision of clinical programming and clinical caregivers in their assigned programs. The role works across numerous programs in collaboration with other disciplines to coordinate a multidisciplinary model that will deliver appropriate care and manages a team and the clinical functions services in assigned programs.

  • This role requires Credentialing will need to allow 12 weeks for credentialing process, prior to starting.

This position is for the Assessment, Referral, and Consultation Services team.

The manager will work with the Intake team, Care Management team, and Assessment Clinic to drive strategy, day to day operations, and patient centered care. This position is located primarily at the Wasatch Canyons/Valley Center Tower Campus, but partners with several other managers and programs across the Wasatch front.

Job Essentials

  • Responsible for program daily operations including the KPI's, staffing models, budgeting, purchasing, recruitment and retention, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates the effectiveness of program services to improve patient access, patient experience, safety, quality, and stewardship.
  • Effectively communicates with caregivers and other stakeholders to ensure effective operations and promote positive employee relations.
  • Uses regulatory, professional, and organizational standards to promote quality of care.
  • Responds to patient and family concerns in a supportive and sensitive manner. Takes immediate action to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Acts as a resource and provides education on clinical issues using knowledge of age-specific learning principles and appropriate teaching skills to promote high quality care.
  • Hires and orients clinical staff. Complies with regulatory agencies and corporate policies for employment practices.
  • Provides clinical supervision and ensures clinical competency of caregivers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a mental health field from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
  • Utah State license as Licensed Clinical Social Worker or CMHC.
  • Experience working in a clinical setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Management experience
  • Three years of experience working in a clinical setting
  • Three years of experience working in a mental health environment.
  • One year of experience working in pediatric behavioral health.

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
  • May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.
