Job Description

Advantage Technical is seeking a talented and passionate CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Optimization Assistant (Facilities Operations) for our great global client in Hercules, CA. Come work for one of the best life sciences companies in the Bay Area! Do you have what it takes?

Pay Rate: $24-34/hr
Contract Length: 4 months
Key Skills: Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar systems, understanding of cGMP, data management, training skills, budgeting and forecasting
Schedule: M-F 8am-4:30pm
Onsite? Yes (100%)

Morning:

  • Begins the day by ensuring the CMMS system is up to date, addressing any new updates or alerts.
  • Assists in the review of weekly PM/CAL work orders and asset activations in the CMMS, coordinating with the maintenance team for scheduling.
  • Compiles weekly activity reports, monitoring the status of maintenance projects and maintaining meticulous records.

Midday:

  • Conducts a thorough review of documentation related to the CMMS System, ensuring equipment additions and changes are accurately reflected.
  • Performs periodic audits of the CMMS usage at Bio-Rad Laboratories for precision, confirming that the asset structure is properly maintained.
  • Monitors capital requisition status, tracking purchase orders, vendor deliveries, and invoicing to stay aligned with the budget.

Afternoon:

  • Engages in data analysis regarding parts/assets and suggests improvements for the CMMS software and process modifications.
  • Provides CMMS software training to end-users and new users, offering guidance and support as a problem-solving liaison when needed.
  • Updates the CMMS with current information on Cap-Ex equipment onboarding, decommissioning, retiring, and data modifications.

Once a week:

  • Analyzes and shares facility metrics with the Facilities Engineer Manager, offering insights into the operational efficiency of maintenance activities.
  • Ensures consistent auditing of the CMMS spare parts inventory and shares the weekly spare part cycle count results with the facilities management team.
  • Keeps track of the facilities budget, assisting in the forecasting and budgeting of R&M and Capital expenditures.

Throughout the month, the Admin Associate also takes on the responsibility of managing the 5S program, promoting an organized and efficient work environment. This role is essential in supporting the maintenance systems and contributing to the effective management of company assets

What You Bring:

  • Associate degree: Preferably in the field related to business administration, facilities management, or information technology.
  • For the role of an Admin Associate with responsibilities involving the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), the required work experience and understanding of cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) are as follows:
    • Experience with CMMS: Candidates should have prior experience working with CMMS or similar systems to manage maintenance operations, asset tracking, and work order management.
    • Understanding of cGMP: A solid understanding of cGMP is essential, as it involves adherence to quality standards in manufacturing processes, which is crucial for ensuring product safety and efficacy1.
    • Data Management Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting is necessary to measure and publish facilities metrics and to perform regular audits of the CMMS.
    • Training Experience: Experience in providing training and support to end-users of software systems is important, as the role involves educating staff on CMMS functions and best practices.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting for repair and maintenance (R&M) and capital expenditures is beneficial for maintaining the facilities budget tracking.

Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, superior problem-solving capabilities, and strong communication skills to effectively manage the challenges associated with the role.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
