About the Team

The cross-functional Brand and Digital Creative Team is a dynamic group of talented print- and digital-marketing designers and production artists. We work closely with our editorial counterparts to translate the big ideas of the season into compelling best-in-class print and digital experiences that are inspirational, on-brand and aspirational. We collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in eComm, Site Development, Brand Marketing, Photography and Catalog, to name a few. About the Role

This hybrid print and digital designer role brings evergreen and seasonal design to life across print marketing (catalog) and williams-sonoma.com while maintaining and evolving our design systems and standards. Combining a love for print, digital experiences, design systems and storytelling, this role supports design on integrated campaigns, building and updating seasonal catalogs, seasonal graphics, landing pages and site content, as well as maintaining our design style guide.

This is a hybrid role - 4 days/week in our San Francisco office required

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • Create engaging designs that not only support but elevate the brand.
  • Conceptualize, spearhead and craft solutions for new design campaigns and marketing initiatives, and able to present creative concepts and executions at review meetings.
  • Work closely with the creative director to develop and execute of variety of design deliverables: marketing materials, presentation decks, layouts, catalogs, digital storytelling, 360-degree campaigns, brand identity and more.
  • Collaborate with art directors, copywriters and marketing leads to bring seasonal expressions to life across all touchpoints including catalog, site landing pages, homepages, seasonal campaign launches and more.
  • Present innovative ideas to improve the brand's identity by creating new print and digital layouts.
  • Design elevated experiences across williams-sonoma.com within a strategic brand framework, optimizing for best practices within digital design practices.
  • Build and maintain design systems, continue to evolve, and improve our typography and design systems and ensure all digital touchpoints uphold our standards of typography and design.
  • Work closely with our UI/UX partners to optimize the user experience and ensure designs represent best-in-class digital experiences.
  • Drive digital innovation by partnering with our site development and site management teams to develop strategies for new mobile and website functionality.
  • Manage workflow to meet business and creative deadlines.

Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of print and digital design experience in a corporate (retail preferred) or agency environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite In-Design, Illustrator and Photoshop (Premiere Pro or After Affects are a plus)
  • Proficiency in Mac platform, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ideation and problem-solving skills.
  • A deep love for design systems and typography. No design detail is too small!
  • Familiarity with current digital best practices and trends.
  • Experience working directly with UX/UI teams.
  • Capability in organizing and leading a project from start to finish.
  • Ability to pivot quickly when timelines, deliverables or priorities shift at a moment's notice.
  • Flexibility to embrace change enthusiastically as a constant in your work.
  • Outstanding communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work well within tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and responsive design is a plus.
  • Ability to perform work onsite in the San Francisco office full-time pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The expected starting pay for this position is $90,000 - $95,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
