Position Summary

The Senior Payroll Administrator is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our U.S. payroll processes and maintaining the financial stability of our company. The Senior Payroll Administrator will oversee and manage all aspects of the payroll function, including time sheets, payroll changes, and other related tasks. This committed individual will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Additionally, the Senior Payroll Administrator will prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

Duties

* Oversee and manage all aspects of the payroll function, ensuring that all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
* Review and verify timesheets and payroll changes, making necessary adjustments to ensure correct payment.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
* Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions, providing these to management and auditors as required.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices, staying updated on current rules and regulations.
* Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors, ensuring all payroll transactions are transparent and accountable.
* Manage coordination with Payroll processing and Timekeeping vendors as required.
* Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures, driving continuous improvement in the payroll function.
* Handle payroll related queries from employees, providing timely and accurate responses.
* Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll function with other business operations.
* Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the role.

Required Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related fieldor 10 years recent related work experience in lieu of degree will be accepted.
* 3-5 years of experience in a payroll role.
* Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
* Strong computer skills with proficiency in payroll software.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong numerical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
