Job Summary:

The Fiber Value Stream Manager is responsible to support Fiber Extrusion and Fiber Termination teams. Responsible of the production, planning and supply chain of fiber extrusion and fiber termination. Ensure the compliance of human resources policies and procedures, EHS, lean manufacturing, and ISO 9001:2015 standards and techniques. Supervises departments personnel to ensure meeting established goals and objectives for the area under his/her responsibility. Position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

You will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the department and personnel.
  • Communicate job expectations to employees, monitor, and appraise employee performance to reduce department turnover.
  • Responsible for the operational and financial performance of Fiber Extrusion, Fiber Assembly and Drop Connectors manufacturing areas.
  • Responsible for the planning and supply chain of Fiber Extrusion and Termination
  • Supervises, develops, and provides direction to supervisors and buyer/planners in their area of responsibility.
  • Review schedule plans to ensure capacities are aligned with production demand.
  • Meet performance key indicators establish for the department and implement process improvements identified through the metric results.
  • Build and maintain a highly motivated and flexible workforce that is cross trained on all equipment. Provide on-the-job training as needed to ensure quality production and properly orients and trains new hires.
  • Foster a continuous improvement environment through Lean Management and constant evaluation of current processes while adhering to quality standards.
  • Review production quality reports to identify and determine root causes of non-conforming product and implement corrective actions to reduce waste and scrap.
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety and environmental directives and that regulations are implemented, while monitoring and reporting progress and results. Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety.
  • Supports New Product Development activities.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering technical support and continuous improvement activities.
  • Follows established ISO9000:2015 Quality Management System

What you will bring:

  • Education & Experience: Engineering Degree and minimumfive (5) years of experience working in a high-volume production environment combined with three (3) years of prior supervisory experience.
  • Markets:Strong knowledge of production methods in an Extrusionb and assembly departments.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Lean Manufacturing; and Proficient computer skills (SAP experience is preferred).

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $97,500 - $146,300 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
