Our supervisor is responsible for overseeing manufacturing personnel, production safety, and all aspects of manufacturing.
Successful candidates will be strong oral and written communicators who are mechanically inclined. In addition, successful candidates will have experience in managing direct reports as well as working with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels on each shift.
- Ensure that employees comply with all Health, Safety, and Regulatory programs.
- Responsible for:
- time & attendance
- completing performance/competency evaluations
- competency/training logs
- providing feedback
- disciplinary actions for employees in the assigned department(s).
- Measure and maintain the output of each shift by Performance to standard, Machine Utilization, Defect percentage, and Net efficiency performance.
- Visual inspection of manufactured parts.
- Support to enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain employee training records, competency logs, and job descriptions for assigned employees.
- Ensure employees have proper training and follow-up training as needed.
- Develop and promote continuous improvement projects within the shift and assist such efforts throughout the organization.
- Report and follow proper procedures for all plant accidents and ensure all proper documentation is completed in legal time frames.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have valid driver's license, and acceptable driving record, along with adequate auto insurance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Good communication skills, oral and written.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work other shifts/weekends as necessary.
- Advanced knowledge of plastic injection molding preferred.
- Ability to inspect production for quality defects.
- Prior forklift experience preferred.
