Where You Will Work:

Clearwater Paper's Las Vegas facility produces through-air-dried (TAD) ultra-premium bathroom tissue, household paper towels, facial tissue, and napkins for major retail outlets throughout the United States. Boasting over 200 talented employees, the Las Vegas location sits on 23 acres and uses state-of-the-art technology, automation, and a variety of equipment such as laser-guided vehicles. Located within the Mojave Desert, North Las Vegas sits just northeast of Las Vegas as the 4th largest city in the state of Nevada. Recently completed Southern Nevada's Neon to Nature regional trail system includes 10 miles used for hiking, biking, and leisurely strolls. What You Will Do:

The Dispatcher provides shipping coordination, warehouse automation input and monitoring, and administrative support to the Distribution Department. Some of the key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work effectively with Supervisors to maximize productivity within the Warehouse department
  • Responsible for maintaining loading schedules, verifying product availability, and authorizing additions and shortages of products on warehouse transfer shipments.
  • Effectively utilize all computer systems to stage orders and manage incoming and outgoing deliveries including Laser Guided Vehicle (LGV) Management system, JDE work order, and Yard Management system. Generate shipping report detailing customer shipments and warehouse transfers
  • Provide timely and professional communication to all customers, including any discrepancies with orders. Work with Transportation Coordinators and Customer Service to resolve issues, returns, etc.
  • Control all incoming and outgoing inventory including the direction of inbound freight. Work with traffic schedules to coordinate orders and carriers
  • Monitor the automation system and coordinate troubleshooting efforts.
  • Assist Distribution Supervisor and Manager with office support duties including data entry as needed
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts

What You Will Need:

To be successful in this position, we are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Internal Candidates must be a current Level 3 or above to apply to the role
  • Prior operational or transportation experience (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)
  • Understand and comply with all manufacturing safety procedures including personal protective equipment (required)
  • Able to work in a physically demanding environment including temperature extremes, loud noise, avoiding slipping, tripping, and falling hazards
  • Physically capable of manual labor that includes bending, walking, sitting, and climbing in and around machinery and equipment for entire 12-hour shift
  • Able to lift, up to 40 lbs frequently, between 40 and 50 lbs occasionally, over 50 lbs minimally.
  • Work environment includes exposure to compressed air, steam, lubrication oil, dust, and hydraulic fluid.
  • Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends, and Holidays. Able to work overtime as needed.
