Team Lead:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary work will be manufacturing.
  • Set up and operate numerous machine tools to precision tolerances from blueprints and sketches. Maintain all process documentation.
  • Makes, modifies, or improvises tooling and gauging to complete assignments. Repair's hardware or machine components per written or verbal instructions and performs precision machining operations to highest quality standards.
  • Works with a broad range of materials (stainless, hardened steel, exotics)
  • Performs inspection of product using such equipment as micrometers, dial indicators, surface plate and associated accessories, bench comparators, profilometers, optical comparators, etc. as required to assure compliance.
  • Leader to corrective actions regarding safe working habits and is conscientious to not endanger self, others, equipment, or property. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner to minimize unsafe conditions.
  • Strives to maintain high personal productivity level and performs other related duties as assigned as well as training other employees when necessary.
  • Must be able to work independently to meet customer demands and manage workload of department
  • Able to learn and apply new information and concepts within the technical area
  • Performs complex Technical Assignments requiring analysis of multiple factors
  • Utilizes expert skills to perform all standard and emerging tasks within the technical area assigned to
  • Advanced knowledge of all possible tasks and responsibilities within their Technical area as well as a strong understanding of External Regulations and Functional Work Standards that affect technical requirements and outputs
  • Assists supervisors and other management members in the development of technical procedures and internal practices for entire technical team
  • Secondary focus will be as a Team Leader/ Coordinator in the direction of others towards completion of daily work tasks, monitoring workflows and schedules and product/service quality assurance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and suggest fixes, can correct minor change
  • Main onsite point of contact.
  • Your primary role will be to ensure that the team meets the production targets while maintaining quality standards. You will need to assign tasks to team members and monitor their progress to ensure that all work is completed on time.
  • One of the most important aspects of your role as an hourly lead will be to provide training and development opportunities for team members training needs, develop training programs and conduct training sessions to help team members learn new skills and techniques.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that all safety protocols are followed by team members while working in the machine shop. This includes conducting safety inspections, identifying and mitigating safety hazards and ensuring that all safety regulations are adhered to.
  • As an hourly lead, you will be the go-to person for your team members. You will need to be approachable, supportive, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer questions or provide guidance whenever needed.
  • Overall, your role as an hourly lead in a machine shop will be critical to the success of the team. By providing guidance, support, and expertise, you will help your team members perform their tasks safely and effectively and ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high quality standards.

Compensation Details

Hourly: $24.00 - $28.00

Additional Compensation

Hourly Rate for this position will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus through the company bonus program. This position may also be eligible to receive a Relocation bonus, payable as a taxable lump sum, by the Sundyne Relocation Policy.
