Build your career with an industry leader! Pratt Visual Solutions in Indianapolis, IN is looking for a Digital Press Operator to operate the digital press, perform basic maintenance on the equipment, and conduct quality control checks to ensure printed materials meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Properly set up and operate digital printing equipment to produce high-quality products.
  • Verify colors, substrates, and ensure high quality printed material is being produced.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the equipment.
  • Read and understand job paperwork.
  • Must be able to record job data consistently and accurately in our Press Tracking computer database system.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Exhibits strong communication skills; ability to interact effectively with management, customers, peers, and vendors.
  • Removes completed prints from press and stages for transfer to next appropriate production department.
  • Notifies appropriate supervision of color or quality errors in prints prior to completion of job.
  • Accurately records material usage and scrap for inventory and job costing purposes.
  • Apprises appropriate supervision and maintenance of need for more extensive maintenance on presses and related equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with digital graphics and a good color vision, with the ability to identify and distinguish colors accurately.
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to stand the majority of the workday, and tolerate the noise, air quality, and general work conditions of a production environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills required.
