Overview

Responsible for shipping, receiving, stocking and delivery of parts, supplies, and products for Liquid Waste Contractor at SRS. The Material Acquisition Center (MAC) ensures the timely flow of materials through the supply chain and maintains an accurate material inventory. Ensures customer needs are met and all duties are performed in a safe, professional, timely, and efficient manner that prevents unsafe work execution, stops observed unsafe acts, and recommends safety enhancements to the benefit of the safety and productivity of the MAC team. Ensures the relationship with customer progresses seamlessly without interruption of services for parts and materials. Ensures management's objectives and expectations with safety, ordering, maintaining, storage and issuance of parts & materials, and environmental compliance are met or surpassed. This is a Service Contract Act (non-exempt) position.

Responsibilities
    Perform all work safely.
  • Load and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilities - manually and by use of mechanical means.
  • Receive materials and ensure the accuracy of delivery and resolve discrepancies when necessary.
  • Monitoring the stockroom inventory and issuing/maintaining/replenishing warehouse stock, and conduct audits based on pre-determined schedules.
  • Accurately complete required documentation.
  • Move materials with pickup trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies to deliver products and materials to their appropriate location.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Must possess strong computer skills.
  • Successfully participate in on and off-the-job training as required.
  • Assist with training and development of fellow employees.
  • Responsible to maintain confidentiality of all information available to the position.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor to this position, but not specifically stated in this description.
  • Ensure time sheets are completed in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to pay attention to detail.
  • Actively participate in daily and monthly safety meetings.
  • Perform inspections, assessments, and audits as required.

Qualifications
  • Forklift operating experience - must be able to qualify as forklift operator.
  • Must maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
  • 30 Hours of General Industry Safety Training or equivalent.
  • Required to have strong computer skills.
  • Must be able to personally respond to facility emergencies as needed.
  • Scheduled and unscheduled overtime is required.
  • Must be physically capable of climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. of weight.
  • Work both rotating and standard shifts, as required, with periodic shift changes.
  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding role. The work involves long hours standing and bending.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold temperatures) and inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be physically capable to hear and understand audible alarms.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must obtain and maintain an Uncleared PIV Site security badge.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical including drug/alcohol screening.
  • Must possess a valid state's driver's license and have a good driving record. Motor Vehicle Records will be ordered and checked as part of pre-employment screening.
