Your Role

As a Training and Development Specialist at Atlas Copco reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the skills and competencies of our workforce. You will collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and enhance our training programs, ensuring alignment with global standards and local needs. From conducting needs assessments to evaluating training effectiveness, you will be instrumental in driving employee development and performance.

Essential Duties:

  • Collaborate with process trainers and departmental managers to identify training needs and objectives.
  • Conduct assessments of local training needs and current content and delivery methods to identify areas for improvement and targeted interventions.
  • Design and develop engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, videos, and interactive activities.
  • Set up and train local technical specialists (Train the Trainer) to deliver Structured On-the-Job Training for the organization.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure meticulous upkeep of curriculum database and training records.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback mechanisms and adjust content as necessary.
  • Champion the company-wide training agenda and ensure it's local promotion.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing training processes and competency.


To succeed, you will need

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in organizational psychology/development, Human Resources, Education or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing learning and development programs.
  • Strong instructional design skills with the ability to create engaging and impactful training content.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, talent management, and organizational behaviour.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in creating, administrating, and sustaining technical training and development programs.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma (desirable).
  • Experience with researching and identifying applicable grants, along with proficiency in preparing and submitting grant proposals to relevant state agencies, preferred.
