Job Description

The Trust Services Group Team Lead is primarily responsible for serving as the Team Lead of the Trust Services Group Officers to serve clients by implementing holistic solutions to preserve, accumulate and transfer wealth. Responsible for leading the team in maintaining the integrity and delivery of trust services, problem resolution and fiduciary administration

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will oversee account administration to ensure all accounts are administered effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with policy and procedures, governing instrument, applicable laws, and regulatory requirements. Ensures the client's investment strategy, goals, objectives, risk tolerance, tax planning and customized benchmarks are documented and implemented
  • You will oversee and ensure appropriate communication with clients, beneficiaries, respective legal counsel and co-trustees or other professional service providers
  • You will oversee discretionary distributions and cash positions for the group, ensuring they are in accordance with the accounts' governing instruments and with the bank's policy and procedures
  • You will provide oversight of account set-up, maintenance and terminations to ensure these processes are performed properly; ensure proper fee schedule is being applied to accounts
  • You will interpret and ensure compliance of fiduciary accounts with governing instruments, tax and fiduciary laws, and policy and procedures
  • You will perform administrative reviews, track and monitor the group's compliance with account review requirements as outlined in policy and procedures
  • You will be responsible for the hiring, building, oversight, direction and daily workflow of the respective team, developing workflows to achieve efficiencies. Leads the respective team, outlining coverage where needed and ensuring relevant client information is properly communicated, ensuring a smooth workflow among the respective team
  • You will be able to respond to, analyze and decision the most complex and difficult questions/complaints. Able to analyze and interpret documents, prepare documents for beneficiary and discretionary requests. Operates independently and provides leadership, guidance and direction to the respective team.
  • You may perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business and 8-10 years' experience in a related field or 13-15 years of equivalent work related experience.

Preferred:

  • Advanced post graduate degree
  • JD, CPA, CFA, CFP, CTF

  • Must have extensive knowledge of the interpretation and practical application of document provisions, probate law, taxes, investments, and the legal framework of estate and trust administration
  • Strong analytical ability to resolve questions arising from account administration
  • Proficient in technology such as Microsoft applications
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated, excellent people management and team work development skills
