As Saab continues to grow its state-of-the-art, advanced manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, IN, we are seeking a Quality Engineer to help develop a world-class Quality function. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in Aerospace, and is able to work as a team to solve problems and develop processes.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Overall administration of the Quality Management System, including information management, change management and compliance.

  • Manage an internal audit program to ensure Quality Management System compliance, maturity, and effectiveness.

  • Develop risk-based internal audit schedule and allocate appropriate resource for its execution.

  • Coordinate implementation of system level corrective and preventive actions as counter measures to audit findings.

  • Lead continuous internal and external audit readiness efforts.

  • Coordinate and support external audits for certification bodies, customers and interested parties.

  • Contribute to a people-first culture in alignment to Saab values, demonstrating core Company values: Trust, Drive, Expertise, and Support.

  • Other tasks as assigned to support operation.

Compensation Range: $69,100.00 - $84,600.00

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field required.

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or related roles within the manufacturing industry.

  • 3+ years of experience in Aeronautics Industry is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and AS9100.

  • Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies is preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment to drive for results.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
