Description/Job Summary
Position Overview

The Metallize Technician is responsible for the slit rolls to be metalized as required by the customer.

Essential Job Functions

Metalize slit rolls by following the Metallizer schedule. Knowing how to read and setup machine recipes

Ability to operate the crane in both Manuel or Automatic

Ability to close and open machine

Clean the machine

Ability to operate the machine controls in Manuel or Automatic

Ability to understand computer, operations, and enter data correctly

Maintain good housekeeping and safe working environment

Interact and communicate with production supervisor, maintenance, and other slitting technicians

Responsible for all aspects of the machine operation and will convey all mechanical and quality problems to supervision and maintenance

Coordinate with Laem slitters to ensure they have sufficient amount of film to finish orders before changing over to next order on schedule

Product Safety

Complies with all SQF procedures

Reports any food safety problems to a member of management or SQF Practitioner

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

1 year manufacturing experience

Fork Truck Certified

A strong mechanical aptitude with some proficiency in computerized operations is required

Safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toe shoes is required on some or all jobs

Work on a specified 12 hour shift and must be able and willing to work overtime on an as needed basis

Weekends and evening work is required

Other Skills/Abilities

* Ability to work as a team member

* Ability to have constant attention to ensure that the film is metalized in a safe, quality, and timely manner
