About the role:

Are you passionate about starting your career in Human Resources? Join our team as a People Operations Coordinator! This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR functions, support our team, and help create a positive employee experience. You'll be involved in various HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and more.

The People Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting and optimizing HR operations and processes. This role ensures that HR functions are carried out smoothly and efficiently, providing an excellent experience for employees and contributing to the overall success of the organization. You will be a key member of our People Operations team, responsible for supporting and streamlining HR functions to enhance the employee experience and ensure smooth HR operations. This role involves handling HR administrative tasks, assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance, and supporting training and development initiatives.

What you will do:

  • HR Administration:
    • Assist with day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS data.
    • Work with our Sr. People Operations Generalist to coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and orientation.
    • Work with the Total Rewards Manager to assist in the coordination of employee benefits programs and assist with enrollment and inquiries.
    • Processes verifications of employment (VOE), OPM investigative requests, and unemployment claims
  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
    • Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
    • Assist in conducting initial screenings and reference checks.
    • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Payroll Processing
    • Provide assistance with payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely payroll for employees and includes strict attention to detail
  • Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
    • Support the implementation of employee engagement initiatives and surveys.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
    • Prepare and submit required HR reports and documentation.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development:
    • Coordinate training and development programs for employees.
    • Maintain training records and track employee progress.
    • Assist in the evaluation of training effectiveness.
  • HR Projects:
    • Support various HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and systems.
    • Collaborate with team members on special projects as needed.

  • Working Conditions:
    • Environment: 3+ days a week in office.
    • Schedule: Typical business hours with occasional need for flexibility.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods and use office equipment with occasional lifting of office supplies and materials.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree).

  • Experience: Previous internships or volunteer experience in HR or administrative roles is a plus, but not required.

Range for this position based on qualifications and experience
$50,000-$55,000 USD
