Southwire Job Description

Job Summary/Objective:
Assists electricians with daily operations and provides support to Electrical Engineering with the design and management of engineered electrical control systems associated with the plant operations

Key Responsibilities
1. Assist electrician with daily trouble calls which may include PLC and motor/ drive troubleshooting.
2. Performs minor PLC/ HMI programming modifications.
3. Assist with updating one lines and machine control drawings.
4. Assist engineering in design and specification of safeguarding throughout the plant.
5. Assure critical spares are on hand.
6. Fill in as Day Shift Electrical Supervisor in their absence.
7. Networks IT at the machine level.
8. Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical instruments and testing equipment.
9. Plan and schedule project work with Operations.

Education:

Associates Degree-Preferably in Industrial Maintenance or Electrical. 5+ yrs Experience.
